A lot of rambling and talks are going on the Internet these days predicting possible Oscars 2017 contenders and winners. And although the latter will be announced on February, 26, there’s a whole year of huge movie premiers waiting for us ahead. Russian TV Company has found out about 3 most anticipated films of 2017. Let’s have a closer look.

Transformers: The Last Knight

Michael Bay’s fifth film about robots from outer space will be out in theaters on June, 23 and features lead actors from ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ - Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci as well as the return of Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro from the first 3 parts of the franchise.

‘The Last Knight’ storyline develops around a friendly Autobot Optimus Prime. In order to save the Universe from the gathering danger, Prime sets out in search of new allies while teammates Bumblebee, Hound, Drift, Crosshairs, Trailbreaker, and Blurr are keeping resistance to evil Galvatron on Earth.

‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ is the fifth of six films about Autobot clashes. Transformers 6 is set for release on June 8, 2019, and in summer of 2018, the world will see a spin-off about yellow ‘little brother’ Bumblebee.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

The new film in Pirates series was supposed to come out in 2015, but production somewhat dragged out until 2017. The film is finally in the can and millions are dying to see Johnny Depp putting on a captain’s hat and holding the wheel of Black Pearl.

This time, his character Jack Sparrow will face captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), a terrifying adversary who escaped Devil's Triangle and promised to kill all pirates at sea. Salazar’s ghost warriors cannot be defeated with the-16th century swords and guns, and only ancient Trident of Poseidon will stop the evil spirits. Backed by the old companions Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), captain Sparrow sets off on a new trip to seek the mighty artifact and gain total control of the sea.

The world premiere of Pirates 5 is set for May 24, 2017.

Fast and Furious 8

In 2015, Vin Diesel came to Cinemacon in Las Vegas and officially announced the 8th installment titled Fast 8 which will be arriving in theaters on April 14, 2017. The filming took place in New York, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Cuba.

Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his team (Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, and Lucas Black) will stand up to a former special squad soldier Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) for the second time. ‘Fast and furious’ will be racing around in luxury sports cars among which we have latest models of Bentley, McLaren, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and even assault vehicles of the last generation (probably for the character of Statham). Here’s how the director F. Gary Grey described the film set and garage: ‘It’s the most incredible set I’ve ever seen… It’s a lot of technologically advanced cars. Here in the toy shop, you feel like you are in the future.’.

Fast 8 will premiere in the US on April 14 while in Russia the film will get its first screening 1 day before.
